Boa constrictor accidentally freed in Utah still missing

TOOELE, Utah (AP) — Authorities in Utah are searching for an 8-foot-long boa constrictor that was accidentally freed from its container last week. KSL TV reported Tuesday that animal control officers were called to a home in Tooele, Utah on Friday. Contractors who were working on the house accidentally knocked over the snake’s container, releasing it. Tooele Police Lt. Jeremy Hansen said animal control searched the home for over 90 minutes but couldn’t find the reptile. Hansen says the snake’s owner believes it may still be on his property. Anyone who may know about the snake’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Tooele Police Department.
