(Salt Lake City, UT) – The Mormon Church is expanding its effort to help refugees around the world. The director of LDS Charities tells “Deseret News” that the Church’s First Presidency has added more money for refugee programs to this year’s budget. The new funding came after the Church did five-times more refugee relief projects last year due to increased donations. Church officials say they want to make refugee relief an ongoing effort rather than just a one-time push.Â
