CEDAR CITY, Utah-This week, Southern Utah University and Northern Arizona University’s football programs confirmed they will play a 12-game series commencing with the 2028 season.

After the Thunderbirds join the Western Athletic Conference, they will maintain their Grand Canyon Rivalry with the Lumberjacks as the agreement attests.

The squads have played annually since 2008 and were both members of the Big Sky Conference as of the 2012 football season.
