LEHI, Utah (AP) — Lehi will allow medical cannabis drive-thrus after a unanimous vote to remove a local ordinance banning them. The Daily Herald reports the Tuesday city council vote came after a proposal from Curaleaf, which is the only cannabis pharmacy in the town. State law allows drive-thru facilities, which have become more popular during the coronavirus pandemic. The facilities must follow all other medical cannabis regulations. Mayor Mark Johnson said it is a better alternative to opioid drugs. Councilmember Paige Albrecht shared that her husband is a disabled veteran who uses medical marijuana to treat his chronic pain.
