DALLAS-Monday, Utah senior cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Vaughn posted an interception (pick six), six tackles, two pass breakups and a fourth-down strip sack in the Utes’ 28-14 win over UCF to conclude the season.

The native of Beaumont, Texas became the first Ute since 2006 to have both a pick six and a forced fumble in the same game.
