OGDEN, Utah-Thursday, Weber State football head coach Jay Hill announced David Fiefia as a new assistant coach for the Wildcats.
Fiefia starred at Utah State from 2000-2003 as a tailback, earning All-Sun Belt honors in 2003 as an all-purpose player, while making the second-team all-conference squad at tailback.
During his collegiate career with the Aggies, Fiefia posted 1,900 scrimmage yards and 11 net touchdowns.
Fiefia is to coach the Wildcats’ tight ends and help in coordinating the squad’s special teams.
Additionally, Hill confirmed Skyler Ridley will coach the Wildcats’ receivers as well as assisting Fiefia with the special teams.
Andre Dyson will remain Weber State’s cornerbacks coach with Robert Conely taking over as the Wildcats’ recruiting coordinator.
Former Southern Utah star and Oakland Raiders linebacker James Cowser will be the squad’s defensive line coach, focusing on the defensive ends.
