Utah’s Devin Lloyd Named As Lott Impact Trophy Player of the Week

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.-In news released Tuesday, Utah junior linebacker Devin Lloyd was named as the Ronnie Lott Impact Trophy Player of the Week recipient.

The 6-2 232-pound junior out of Chula Vista, Calif. posted one defensed pass and eight tackles in the Utes’ 42-26 win at USC Saturday.

Lloyd is a two-time all-Pac 12 selection and leads the conference in tackles this season with 54. He also has 9 tackles for a loss and two sacks.

Lloyd beat out the following nominees across FBS college football in Week 6 for this prestigious honor:

Wake Forest sophomore defensive back Nick Anderson (10 tackles in the Demon Deacons’ 40-37 win over Syracuse)

Cincinnati graduate cornerback Coby Bryant (interception, 6 tackles in the Bearcats’ 52-3 win over Temple)

Georgia junior linebacker Nakobe Dean (interception, 5 tackles as the Bulldogs routed Auburn 34-10)

Texas Christian junior cornerback Tre’vius Hodges-Tomlinson (pick-six, four tackles in the Horned Frogs’ 52-31 rout of Texas Tech)

Coastal Carolina graduate linebacker Silas Kelly (1.5 sacks, 6 tackles, quarterback hurry in the Chanticleers’ 52-20 win over Arkansas State).
