Utah State Punter Stephen Kotsanlee Named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Monday, Utah State junior punter Stephan Kotsanlee was named the Mountain West Conference special teams player of the week for his contributions to the Aggies’ 17-13 win over Colorado State.

Kotsanlee, a junior out of Melbourne, Australia, averaged 47.2 yards per punt for the Aggies in Saturday’s victory.

Additionally, Aggies third-string quarterback, Bishop Davenport, a freshman out of Spring, Texas, was named the Mountain West freshman of the week for his contributions to Utah State’s victory Saturday.

Davenport ran for 29 yards and the go-ahead score in the 3rd Quarter for the Aggies.

Utah State is now 3-4 on the season and 2-1 in Mountain West play on the heels of their second consecutive victory.

The Aggies return to action Saturday at 7:45 pm at Laramie, Wyo. to face the Wyoming Cowboys as Mountain West play ensues.
