LOGAN, Utah-Thursday, Utah State men’s basketball head coach Danny Sprinkle was named the recipient of Jim Phelan Award Mid-Season honors.
Sprinkle has led the Aggies to a 13-1 record in his first season at the helm of the Utah State program, including 12 consecutive wins.
The Phelan Award is named in honor of Jim Phelan, the legendary head coach at Mount St. Mary’s from 1954-2003.
Sprinkle is 94-44 (.681) as a Division I head coach, having coached at Montana State from 2019-2023.
Sprinkle’s Aggies squad returns to action by hosting Colorado State Saturday at 7:00 pm.
