LOGAN, Utah-Thursday, Utah State men’s basketball head coach Jerrod Calhoun announced the promotion of Max Bent to assistant coach Thursday. Previously, Bent served as the team’s director of video and analytics after joining Calhoun’s staff for the 2024-25 season.
Bent came to Utah State from NCAA Division II Charleston (W. Va.) from 2021-24 where he served as an assistant for the Golden Eagles.
Bent has also spent time at Denver as the Pioneers’ director of basketball operations (2019-21) and at Detroit Mercy, serving as the Titans’ graduate assistant in 2017-18 under head coach Bacari Alexander.
Bent graduated from Michigan in 2017 where he served as the Wolverines’ student manager on John Beilein’s staff for all four years of his time as an undergraduate.
Bent is a native of Grand Rapids, Mich.
