SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, Utah men’s basketball head coach Craig Smith announced the addition of Illinois State transfer Dusan Mahorcic to the Utes’ program.
The native of Belgrade, Serbia posted 9.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Redbirds last season while shooting 59 percent from the field.
The 6-10 Mahorcic has also played for NCAA Division II Lewis and Moberly Area CC of Moberley, Mo. during his collegiate career.
Mahorcic is the seventh transfer to join the Utes’ program since Smith became the head coach earlier this off-season.
He joins guards David Jenkins Jr., Both Gach, Rollie Worster and Marco Anthony, and forwards Gabe Madsen and Bostyn Holt.
