TAMPA, Fla.-Monday, University of Utah offensive lineman  Nick Ford was named the 2021 Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award winner.

This was confirmed by the Solomon family and the DeBartolo Family Foundation.

This award annually honors a collegiate football player who has impacted the lives of others through giving and community service.

Ford has cooked and helped others through his “Sunday Dinner” for Utah Foster Care.

Through this initiative, Ford has cooked for over 100 foster families at each event.

Traditionally, Ford’s family has done a big Sunday dinner. After his brother, Michael, passed away from a heart condition in 2019, Ford has vowed to spend his life helping and serving others.
