NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.-Friday, Utah junior defensive end Jonah Elliss was named as a finalist for the 2023 Lott IMPACT Award.

This award is named in honor of former USC/San Francisco 49ers/Los Angeles Raiders/New York Jets defensive back Ronnie Lott and honors the college football player who best exhibits his characteristics on an off the field.

Ellis is one of four finalists for the award nationally, joining UCLA senior linebacker Laiatu Latu, Michigan junior linebacker Junior Colson and Alabama junior linebacker Dallas Turner.

Elliss is tied for second nationally with 12 sacks and third in the nation with 16 tackles for a loss.

Elliss and his Utah teammates conclude the regular season Saturday by hosting Colorado.
