Utah Football Reveals Uniforms For Rose Bowl

PASADENA, Calif.-Tuesday, Utah football revealed their distinctive uniforms for the Rose Bowl Saturday at Pasadena, Calif.

The Utes are wearing all-white uniforms as they are the designated road team for Saturday’s tilt against the Buckeyes.

Meanwhile, Ohio State will wear their traditional home uniforms, scarlet jerseys with grey pants.

Because of playing in the Rose Bowl, the Utes will also add a rose into their interlocked “U’s” helmet design with their white jerseys and white pants.

The interlocked “U” dates back to the 1960’s while the Utes will wear a number font from the 1970’s on their jerseys.

Other teams to add a rose to their design for the occasion of playing in the Rose Bowl include Washington State in 1998 and 2003, Purdue in 2001 and Texas Christian in 2011.

Furthermore, Wisconsin featured a sublimated rose pattern in the motion “W” and numbers in 2012. In 2019, Ohio State added a Rose Bowl logo to their front helmet bumper.
