Utah Football Lands Florida Linebacker Mohamoud Diabate

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday evening, Utah football secured the talents of former Florida linebacker Mohamoud Diabate.

Incidentally, the Utes’ season opener next season is September 3 at Gainesville, Fla. against the Gators.

Diabate, a senior-to-be, posted 89 tackles and 2.5 tackles for a loss last season for Florida.

For his career, Diabate has 5.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.

The 6-3 227-pound Diabate also has experience as an EDGE rusher during his career with the Gators.

Diabate is renowned for his agility to move laterally. In so doing, he can slip blocks and use his talents as a blitzer.
