SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah football sophomore offensive lineman Branden Daniels and junior linebacker Devin Lloyd were named the Pac-12 offensive line and defensive players of the week respectively for their contributions to the Utes’ 52-7 rout of Stanford Friday.
Daniels primarily played at right tackle against the Cardinal and helped the Utes amass 581 yards of offense. This is Utah’s most productive output since the 2018 season.
Furthermore, Daniels’ efforts helped the Utes run for 441 yards, the most Utah has run for in a game since 1991.
Lloyd, meanwhile, posted a career-high five tackles for a loss and a sack as well as his second career pick-six in the second half.
Lloyd’s contributions helped the Utes limit Stanford to 167 yards of offense.
Daniels, Lloyd and their Utah teammates return to action Saturday at Arizona. The Utes are presently 6-3 and 5-1 in Pac-12 play.
