Tim Fanning Joins BYU Men’s Basketball Staff Tuesday

PROVO, Utah-Tuesday, BYU men’s basketball head coach Kevin Young added Tim Fanning to his staff, becoming the fourth assistant coach for the Cougars.

Fanning comes to Provo from Overtime Elite, an Atlanta-based basketball league for 16-20-year-olds where he played a role in the development of numerous Division I and professional players.

The native of Oakland, Calif. spent nearly five years as an assistant coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C. previously and has also served as the head coach of the Nelson Giants of the New Zealand NBL.

He has also served as the head coach of the Canarias Basketball Academy U-16 Team of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Fanning helped the squad reach the Spanish Championship for the first time in academy history.
