SUU; Weber State, Each With Representatives On the All-Big Sky Team

FARMINGTON, Utah-Tuesday, the all-Big Sky men’s basketball teams were revealed. Both of Utah’s Big Sky Conference institutions, Southern Utah University and Weber State University, were represented.

Both the Thunderbirds and Wildcats placed a player on the first team. SUU was represented by senior guard John Knight III (14.5 points, 4 rebounds per game) and Weber State by senior guard Koby McEwen (18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds per game), a former Wasatch Academy standout. McEwen was also named as the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year. He came to the Wildcats from Marquette of the Big East Conference.

The Wildcats placed sophomore guard Dillon Jones (12.1 points, 10.7 rebounds per game) on the all-conference second team.

The third team featured SUU senior shooting guard Maizen Fausett (12.1 points, 5.4 rebounds per game) a former standout at Westlake High School, and T-Birds senior power forward Tevian Jones (14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds per game). Weber State also contributed to the third team as the Wildcats placed sophomore guard Seikou Sisoho “Sigu” Jawara (12.6 points, 3.03 assists per game) on that roster.
