SALT LAKE CITY-Kevin Padlo homered twice and also contributed an RBI double as the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Tacoma 8-7 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Cam Vieaux recorded two strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn his first win of the season on the mound for Salt Lake. Vieaux is presently 1-2.
Cade Marlowe, Jake Scheiner and Zach DeLoach each homered in the loss for the Rainiers.
With the win, the surging Bees have won four of their last 5 games and improved to 13-17 on the season.
Tacoma fell to 15-14 in the loss.
The Bees and Rainiers return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
