TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Ashlee Edwards posted 14 points on 4-8 from the field and 2-4 from range as the Snow Badgers upset No. 17 Salt Lake CC 63-61 Thursday at the Lifetime Activities Center in Scenic West women’s basketball play.

The 6-10 Badgers won their Scenic West opener by shooting 56 percent (25-45) from the field and 50 percent (3-6) behind the arc.

Naelle Bernard had 20 points on 5-9 behind the arc in the loss for the Bruins as they fell to 12-2 and 4-1 in Scenic West play on the season.

The Badgers resume SWAC play Saturday at 1:00 pm by hosting Community Christian (Calif.) at the Horne Activity Center.

The Bruins’ season resumes Wednesday at Southern Idaho.
