Region 18

EPHRAIM, Utah-Dylan Jones led the way with 32 points on 12-18 from the field and 7-10 from range as the No. 15 Snow Badgers routed Southern Nevada 108-86 Thursday in Region 18 men’s basketball play at the Horne Activity Center. The Badgers shot 58 percent (45-77) from the field and 50 percent (12-24) from range. LeRon Wright’s 22 points on 8-14 and 6-12 behind the arc led the Coyotes in the loss. The Badgers improved to 17-2 and 2-1 in SWAC play.

Women’s Basketball

Region 18

EPHRAIM, Utah-Layla Faught posted 22 points on 7-13 from the field and the Southern Nevada Coyotes bested Snow 84-74 in Region 18 women’s basketball play Thursday. Ainsley Thurber had 19 points in defeat for the Badgers. Snow fell to 11-8 and 1-2 in SWAC play following Thursday’s results. The Coyotes improved to 18-1 and 1-1 in SWAC play.
