MIRAMAR, Fla.-Carson Manookin had a pair of touchdown runs and the No. 8 Snow Badgers clobbered ASA Miami 45-3 Saturday in non-conference NJCAA football action.
Dion Davis and Marquis Montgomery also hauled in scoring receptions for the Badgers, who built a 31-0 lead at the half and cruised to victory.
Despite the blowout victory, Badgers head coach Zac Erekson told Snow broadcaster Gary Chidester the team experienced significant adversity.
This was because, Erekson said, the surface in south Florida was a soft grass and much different than the surface the Badgers play and practice on at Terry Foote Stadium in Ephraim.
Snow returns to action next Saturday afternoon at Kilgore (Texas) against the Rangers for a 3:00 pm MDT kickoff.
The Badgers are now 5-1 on the season and hope to rise in the NJCAA polls for next week. The new rankings will be released Monday afternoon.
