Snow College Seeks New Director of Strength and Conditioning

Snow College is seeking a new director of strength and conditioning for the athletic department.

The director will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and assessment of strength and conditioning programs for all sponsored intercollegiate sports the Badgers compete in (football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer volleyball, softball, wrestling, rodeo, cross country/track and field).

This is a 12-month position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

program design

implementation of training programs to optimize performance and decrease injury potential of teams

assist with the oversight of sport-specific conditioning programs

teach proper weightlifting, speed, agility and conditioning techniques

encourage and motivate student-athletes to train and perform to their upmost potential

maintain a positive and competitive training environment

schedule athletic teams for training sessions, player development and assessment

Candidates should have the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a preference given to a Master’s degree in physical education, physiology, sport science or a related field of study.

An NSCA, CSCS certification (or equivalent) is required as well as two to three years-related experience.

Candidates must perform other duties as assigned by the athletic director.

The starting date is July 26 and the salary is $50,000 annually with no benefits.

There is a possibility for discounted housing for the right candidate.
