Scenic West

PRICE, Utah-Hagen Wright and Wyatt Lowell had 22 points apiece and the No. 19 Snow Badgers overpowered USU-Eastern Utah 87-73 in Scenic West men’s basketball play Thursday.

The Badgers shot 59 percent from the field (34-58) as Snow improved to 14-4 and 5-3 in Scenic West play.

Isaac Castagnetto and Payton Falslev had 19 points apiece in defeat for the Eagles. USU-Eastern Utah fell to 13-6 and 6-4 in Scenic West play with the loss.

The Badgers return to action Saturday by hosting Southern Idaho.

Women’s Basketball

Scenic West

PRICE, Utah-Ashlee Edwards led the way with 11 points and the Snow Badgers bested USU-Eastern Utah 57-51 Thursday in Scenic West women’s basketball play.

Brooklyn Palmer had 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles in the loss.

Snow improves to 11-9 and 5-3 in Scenic West play with the win. USU-Eastern Utah fell to 9-9 and 4-3 in Scenic West competition with the loss.

Saturday, the Badgers return to Ephraim to host Southern Idaho. The Golden Eagles are in first place in the SWAC presently.
