EPHRAIM, Utah-Per news from late Monday, Snow College Athletic Director Rob Nielson named Shawn Gubeli as the new head coach for the Badgers’ cheer squad.

Gubeli had previously served as Snow’s cheer squad’s head coach in 2021-22.

During his previous time at the helm, Gubeli led the Badgers’ cheer squad to a 2nd place finish at the USA College Nationals in 2021.

Gubeli also served as the assistant coach for Juab High School’s cheer squad from 2014-2020, leading the Wasps to 3A co-ed state championships in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020.

Gubeli, a graduate of Gunnison Valley High School, served as the male cheer captain for the 2010-11 season at Snow College. He then moved on to cheer at Southern Utah University from 2011-2013.

Gubeli will conduct cheer team tryouts July 22 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Horne Activity Center.
