Rylan Jones Find New Home With Utah State Men’s Basketball

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, outgoing University of Utah sophomore guard Rylan Jones found a new home at Utah State after entering the transfer portal last week.

Because of the NCAA’s new transfer rules, Jones is immediately eligible to play for new Aggies head coach Ryan Odom at Logan. This gives Jones three seasons of remaining eligibility in his collegiate career.

In his two seasons with the Utes, Jones averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 assists per contest.

Utah also lost Swedish guard Pelle Larsson to the University of Arizona over the weekend, depleting the Utes’ backcourt.

Utah currently has four scholarship openings on its men’s basketball roster for the upcoming season.

Jones is a 2-time Mr. Basketball in Utah while starring for Olympus High School.
