OREM, Utah-The Foothill (Nev.) Falcons surged past Manti 3-1 at the UVU Tournament Thursday. The Falcons bested the Templars 23-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-21.
Region 12
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The Emery Spartans outlasted North Sanpete 3-2 Thursday in Region 12 volleyball action. The Spartans got past the Hawks 23-25, 26-28, 25-18, 25-20, 25-10.
Region 16
SALINA, Utah-The North Sevier Wolves humbled Gunnison Valley 3-0 in Region 16 volleyball play Thursday. The Wolves prevailed 25-10, 25-13, 25-10 to earn the straight sets win.
Region 18
MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams got past Enterprise 3-2 in Region 18 volleyball play Thursday. The Rams downed the Wolves 26-24, 25-20, 19-25, 16-25, 17-15.
FILLMORE, Utah-The Parowan Rams stonewalled Millard 3-0 Thursday in Region 18 volleyball play. The Rams bested the Eagles 25-14, 25-16, 25-15 to get the straight sets win.
Region 20
MILFORD, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds waxed Milford 3-0 Thursday in Region 20 volleyball play. The Thunderbirds overpowered the Tigers 25-23, 25-22, 25-20 to obtain the straight sets victory. Tayleah Spaulding’s 9 kills led the Tigers in the loss.
Non-Region
LITTLEFIELD, Ariz.-The Escalante Moquis downed Beaver Dam (Ariz.) 3-0 Thursday in non-region volleyball action. The Moquis bested the Diamondbacks 25-8, 25-10, 25-10 for the straight sets win.
Girls Soccer
Region 12
RICHFIELD, Utah-Bethanee Vargas posted five goals and the Canyon View Falcons dismantled Richfield 8-0 in Region 12 girls soccer play Thursday. Gracie Burt recorded the shutout for the Falcons.
NEPHI, Utah-Caitlin Allred found the net and the Delta Rabbits blanked Juab 1-0 Thursday in Region 12 girls soccer play.
MANTI, Utah-Kinzee Chidester scored twice and the Manti Templars walloped North Sanpete 5-0 in Region 12 girls soccer play Thursday. Cambrie Thompson, Brooklyn Olson and Taylie Mickelsen each scored a goal in the win for the Templars. Alyssa Whitney earned the shutout for the Templars.
2A South
FILLMORE, Utah-Bella Robinson and Deanna Gale each scored two goals and the Parowan Rams edged Millard 4-3 in overtime Thursday in 2A South girls soccer play. Kailey Thurman scored twice in defeat for Millard and Emma Koyle also found the net for the Eagles.
