JUNCTION, Utah-Braige Beus and Braige Millett drove in two runs apiece and the Piute Thunderbirds outlasted Bryce Valley 6-5 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Blake Dalton also drove in a run in the win for the Thunderbirds. Brodee Montague recorded 11 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Piute. Rodolfo Perez drove in three runs in the loss for the Mustangs.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Maddix Johnson, Daxton Miller and Camden Englestead homered and the Panguitch Bobcats clobbered Green River 17-0 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday.
PRICE, Utah-Blake Peterson, Russell Van Dyke, Hunter Robins and Rigg Brinkerhoff each drove in a run and the Wayne Badgers edged Pinnacle 6-5 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Robins recorded two strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Badgers. Joey Howell drove in two runs for the Panthers in defeat.
