TROPIC, Utah-Ricardo Navarro belted a grand slam and the Bryce Valley Mustangs routed Wayne 19-0 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Rodolfo Perez drove in three runs and Antonio Moreno added 2 more RBI in the win for the Mustangs. Clay Gray, Cooper Owens and Moxin Floyd also drove in an additional run apiece in victory for Bryce Valley. Moreno posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Bryce Valley.

JUNCTION, Utah-Daxton Miller drove in three runs and the Panguitch Bobcats blanked Piute 12-0 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Miller posted 13 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bobcats. Quade Veater drove in two runs in the win for Panguitch and Bridger Chappell, Reme Chappell, Camden Englestead and Taycen Ramsay each drove in an additional run in the win for the Bobcats.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Hadley Harris drove in three runs and the Valley Buffalos pounded Green River 15-0 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Hogan Harris and Justin Baird drove in two more runs each for the Buffalos in victory. Boede Cox and Weston Baird drove in an additional run apiece in the win for Valley. Hogan Harris posted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Buffalos.

Region 18

CEDAR CITY, Utah-The South Sevier Rams won a Region 18 boys golf tournament Wednesday at Cedar Ridge Golf Course by shooting a 329 as a team, 17 strokes ahead of Beaver and Parowan, which tied for second by each shooting a 346. Kanab came in fourth with a 350, followed by Millard’s 370 and Enterprise’s 384.

Individually South Sevier’s Keegan Johnson and Parowan’s McKay Pace tied for first by each shooting a 79, Kyson Brown of South Sevier and Ray Capson of Kanab tied for third each shooting an 80 and Tyler Massey of Parowan rounded out the top five with an 81.
