BICKNELL, Utah-Joey Howell and Brody Howell homered and the Pinnacle Panthers doubled up Wayne 6-3 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Brody Howell netted nine strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Pinnacle. EJ Pauu homered in the loss for the Badgers.

GREEN RIVER, Utah-Kaden Bailey, Tayze Barney and Reuben Torgersen drove in two runs apiece and the Panguitch Bobcats routed Green River 12-2 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Traiger Ramsay posted six strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Panguitch. Jesus Escalante and Gabriel Quintana drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Pirates.

JUNCTION, Utah-Bodie Gayler and Nash Fautin drove in three runs apiece and the Piute Thunderbirds stonewalled Bryce Valley 9-4 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Brodee Montague recorded 10 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Piute. Rodolfo Perez homered in defeat for the Mustangs.

ESCALANTE, Utah-The Milford Tigers blanked Escalante 3-0 in Region 20 girls volleyball play Wednesday. The Tigers prevailed over the Moquis 25-10, 25-13, 25-4 to earn the straight sets victory. Alison Holcomb, Taylie Carlisle, Rylee Frei and Kira Roberts recorded a kill apiece in the loss for the Moquis.
