CASTLE DALE, Utah-Alex Jackson completed 18 of 24 passes for 246 yards and 3 TD’s as the Juab Wasps bested Emery 38-6 in non-region football action Friday. Because of monsoonal conditions in central eastern Utah Friday evening, lightning caused a 15-minute delay to the ballgame.
Nevertheless, the Wasps did not let this affect their stride as Juab outgained the class 2-A Spartans 380-129.
Payton Park (2 rec, 101 yards, 2 TD’s) had scoring receptions of 78 and 23 yards for Juab in the win.
Jared Dye added 94 scrimmage yards on 16 touches for the Wasps in the rout while Ryker Richards presumably set a school record by nailing a 51-yard field goal attempt for Juab.
Dane Sitterud had a 1-yard scoring run in defeat for the Spartans as Emery fell to 2-3 with Juab improving to 4-1.
Region play commences for these respective squads next Friday. Juab visits Canyon View at Cedar City and Emery travels northward to Kamas to face the South Summit Wildcats.
LAYTON, Utah-Jessaia Moala had scoring runs of 39, 36 and 2 yards as the Layton Christian Eagles pulverized Gunnison Valley 50-7 in non-region football play Friday. Jack Hansen had a scoring pass in defeat for the Bulldogs.
MONROE, Utah-Brigham Bradshaw had a 1-yard touchdown run and Trenton Garrett added a 22-yard field goal as the South Sevier Rams outlasted Richfield 10-7 Friday in non-region football play. Reggie Hafen’s 1-yard touchdown run led the Wildcats in defeat.
MANTI, Utah-Nick Despain threw four touchdown passes, including a pair to Gavin Turner (30 and 60 yards) as the Morgan Trojans pounded Manti 42-0 in non-region football play Friday. Will Korth added a 4-yard scoring run in the win for Morgan as well as a 4-yard touchdown reception.
SALINA, Utah-Nathan Snyder posted a 20-yard touchdown run, a 20-yard scoring reception from Ryker Frischknecht and scored on a blocked kick as the North Sevier Wolves routed Monticello 35-7 Friday in non-region football play. Kannin Boswell added scoring runs of 5 and 23 yards for the Wolves in the rout. A lightning delay in the second half ultimately resulted in the game being called.
FILLMORE, Utah-Devin Watson tossed five touchdown passes and the Summit Academy Bears waxed Millard 36-22 in non-region football play Friday. In defeat, Sam Rasmussen threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Taylor Davies and Morgan Wade (27 yards) and Brooks Christensen (5 yards) had touchdown runs for the Eagles.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Noah Fuailetolo threw three touchdown passes and the Desert Hills Thunder routed North Sanpete 43-7 Friday in non-region football play. Morgan Bowles threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Brock Jacobson for the Hawks in the loss.
BEAVER, Utah-Tyten Fails threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Statler Wright and Jayton Jessup added a 28-yard scoring run as the Beaver Beavers doubled up Providence Hall 14-7 in non-region football play Friday. Michael Scott threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Walsh in the loss for the Patriots.
DELTA, Utah-Bo Hardy threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Kielen Tsosie and added a 10-yard scoring run as the Milford Tigers smoked Delta 32-16 Friday in non-region football play. Blake Barnes (3 yards) and Sadler Barnes (3 yards) added touchdown runs for Milford in the win with Dylan Ferguson nailing a 55-yard field goal just before halftime for the Tigers. Ryder Rogers (29 yards) and Carson Denbow (6 yards) had touchdown runs in defeat for the Rabbits.
COALVILLE, Utah-Travis Stewart had scoring runs of 51 and 77 yards and the Kanab Cowboys pummeled North Summit 49-14 in non-region football play Friday. Parker Franklin also had two touchdown runs (of 1 and 6 yards) for the Cowboys. Griffin Bone threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Kason Janes and Karson Blomquist added a 7-yard touchdown run for the Cowboys in victory.

BICKNELL, Utah-Garrett Robins posted 3 RBI and the Wayne Badgers hammered Pinnacle 20-2 Friday in the first game of a 1-A South baseball doubleheader. Krey Bradbury and Hunter Mitchell each posted three strikeouts for the Badgers in the win.
BICKNELL, Utah-Garrett Robins drove in four runs and the Wayne Badgers clobbered Pinnacle 14-0, completing the sweept of a 1-A baseball doubleheader Friday. Reed Edwards netted six strikeouts in the win for the Badgers.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Kyler Bennett netted 10 strikeouts and the Panguitch Bobcats waxed Bryce Valley 13-3 in 1-A South baseball play Friday. Miles Roberts had 2 RBI in the loss for the Mustangs.

ESCALANTE, Utah-The Escalante Moquis routed the Tintic Miners 3-0 Friday in non-region volleyball play. The Moquis bested the Miners 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-The Kanab Lady Cowboys lassoed Valley 3-0 in non-region volleyball play Friday. Kanab prevailed 25-15, 25-17, 25-23 to vanquish the Buffaloes in straight sets.
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah-The Milford Tigers waxed APA West Valley 3-0 Friday in non-region volleyball play. The Tigers prevailed 25-8, 25-9, 25-12 over the Eagles in the win.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kate Robinson amassed a hat track as the Richfield Wildcats pounded Beaver 8-0 in non-region girls soccer play Friday. Roxie Yardley, Rebecca Poulsen, Matty Peterson, Mylee Jensen and Abby Evensen also scored for the Wildcats.
