HURRICANE, Utah-Jaxon Brinkerhoff drove in a pair of runs and Joel Romo posted nine strikeouts as the Bryce Valley Mustangs downed Diamond Ranch 8-5 in 1-A South baseball play Wednesday.

BICKNELL, Utah-The Escalante Moquis stymied Wayne 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball play Wednesday. The Moquis prevailed over the Badgers 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.
HILDALE, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats mowed over Water Canyon 3-0 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball play. The Bobcats routed the Wildcats 25-11, 25-16, 25-14.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes waxed Bryce Valley 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Buffaloes downed the Mustangs 25-14, 25-17, 25-19 to prevail in straight sets.
JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds downed Milford 3-1 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball play. The T-Birds prevailed over the Tigers, 24-26, 25-16, 25-16, 25-22. Jaleana Tsosie’s 13 kills led Milford i the loss.

NEPHI, Utah-The Emery Spartans surged past Juab 3-0 in straight sets Wednesday in non-region volleyball action. The Spartans prevailed 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.
