DELTA, Utah-Kaden Turner ran for a score and tossed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Preston Sanchez and the Millard Eagles edged Delta 16-13 Friday in non-region football play to win the battle of Millard County and capture their first win of the season.
The Eagles overcame 15 penalties for 135 yards and being outgained by Delta 320-242 to secure the win. Millard also forced Delta into 0-4 on 4th down. This proved to be a significantly determinant factor in the outcome of the game.
In the loss, Hunt Robinson (17-31, 201 yards, TD) and Roper Crane (25 car, 99 yards, TD) led the Rabbits. Jaytn Brough also added a touchdown reception in defeat for Delta. Jett Rawlinson recorded 5 receptions for 62 yards in the loss for the Rabbits.
Delta returns to action Friday at North Sanpete and the Eagles next visit Milford on Friday. Both of these games are on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network, teamhive.live and midutahradio.com.
BEAVER, Utah-Bodie Wheatley threw a touchdown pass and Gage Raddon ran for a pair of scores as the Beaver Beavers decimated Grantsville 35-0 Friday in non-region football play. Deagen Horner caught a touchdown pass and Bridger Blackner ran 11 yards for another score in victory for the Beavers.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Kanyon Okerlund ran for a pair of scores and the South Sevier Rams blanked Enterprise 21-0 in non-region football play Friday.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Easton Favero threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score and the Logan Grizzlies edged North Sanpete 20-19 Friday in non-region football play. Kash Cook ran for a pair of scores and Maddox Madsen added a touchdown pass in the loss for the Hawks.
WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah-Griffin Wayman threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another score and the Richfield Wildcats overpowered West Field 45-26 in non-region football play Friday at Bonneville High School. Gage Yardley recorded a pick six and scored on a blocked kick as well in victory for Richfield. Malik Fautin also caught a pair of touchdown passes and added a 56-yard scoring run in the win for the Wildcats. Briggs Nelson and Tyce Abbott each threw touchdown passes in the loss for the Longhorns.
NEPHI, Utah-Chris Monroe threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score as the Layton Christian Eagles stonewalled Juab 21-7 Friday in non-region football play. Jay Rowley returned a fumble 78 yards for a score in defeat for the Wasps.
KANAB, Utah-Brogen Virostko threw four touchdown passes and the Kanab Cowboys hammered North Sevier 49-6 in non-region football play Friday. Hayden Gubler added a touchdown run and scoring reception and Rider Allen ran for another score in the win for Kanab. Rylan Frischknecht threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Brody Bulloch in the loss for the Wolves.
MANTI, Utah-Maison Starkweather threw three touchdown passes and the Manti Templars bested Snow Canyon 39-29 Friday in non-region football play. Starkweather added a touchdown run for the Templars and Lincoln Alder and Colby Simons returned interceptions for scores in victory for Manti. Joseph Smith threw three touchdown passes in the loss for the Warriors.
PANACA, Nev.-Kilo Tsosie threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Sadler Barnes and the Milford Tigers routed Lincoln County (Nev.) 37-7 in non-region football play Friday. Griffin Walker added two more touchdown runs in victory for the Tigers and Colton Barnes added a 66-yard touchdown run for Milford. Jexton Ashworth recorded a pick six as well in victory for the Tigers.

American Heritage/Maeser Invitational
Keaton Huff homered and the Altamont Longhorns handed Bryce Valley their first loss of the season with a 7-6 win over the Mustangs Friday at the American Heritage/Maeser Invitational. Colton Beal posted five strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win ont he mound for the Longhorns. Antonio Moreno drove in two runs while Luke Andrus also drove in a run in defeat for the Mustangs.
Maddix Johnson and Daxton Miller drove in three runs apiece and the Panguitch Bobcats hammered Wayne 11-0 at the American Heritage/Maeser Invitational Friday. The Bobcats later routed Intermountain Christian 14-0 Friday.
Blake Peterson drove in four runs and the Wayne Badgers hammered Maeser Prep 19-3 Friday at the American Heritage/Maeser Invitational. Ethan Beecher recorded seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Badgers in victory.

FILLMORE, Utah-Taylie Mickelson recorded a hat trick and the Manti Templars pummeled Millard 9-0 Friday in non-region girls soccer play. Brooklyn Olson (2 goals), Karlee Tanner, Jakinzie Strong, McKinzee Chidester and Madelyn Bridges (goal apiece) also excelled in victory for Manti. Alyssa Whitney recorded the shutout in the net in the win for the Templars.
