PAYSON, Utah-Jake Heap recorded 170 net yards on nine touches and two receiving touchdowns as the Juab Wasps outlasted Payson 38-33 with a late 4th down stop Friday in non-region football play.

Price Armstrong (19-28, 318 yards, 3 TD’s/2 INT’s) and Brock Richards (27 car, 249 yards, 2 TD’s) also had strong showings in victory for Juab as the Wasps recorded 639 yards of offense.

In defeat, Trevyn Wall (34-57, 465 yards, 2 TD’s), Carson Wall (7 rec, 137 yards, TD), David Fullmer (12 rec, 124 yards, TD) and Valentin Sanchez (9 rec, 140 yards) led the Lions in the loss as they amassed 526 yards of offense. Hogan Bates ran for three scores as well in the loss for Payson as they fell to 0-2 while Juab improved to 2-0.

MONROE, Utah-Bridger Bradshaw threw three touchdown passes and the South Sevier Rams routed Enterprise 52-12 in non-region football play Friday. Jack Moule threw a touchdown pass in defeat for the Wolves.

MANTI, Utah-Carter Mason threw three touchdown passes and the Manti Templars routed Juan Diego 65-7 Friday in non-region football play.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Ayden Akee ran for two touchdowns and the North Sanpete Hawks routed Deseret Peak 49-9 in non-region football play Friday. Cody Jensen ran 80 yards for a score in defeat for the Golden Eagles.

GUNNISON, Utah-Talan Dyreng threw two touchdown passes and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs downed Providence Hall 29-19 Friday in non-region football play. Gary Grayson ran for three scores in the loss for the Patriots.

BLANDING, Utah-Dawson Orton ran for two scores and the Beaver Beavers edged San Juan 33-30 in non-region football play Friday. Jagger Nieves ran for a pair of scores in the loss for the Broncos.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Dallan VanVliet threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Grantsville Cowboys lassoed Richfield 32-0 Friday in non-region football play.

FILLMORE, Utah-Connor Stevens threw two touchdown passes to Mason Wardle and the Millard Eagles won the battle of Millard County with a 20-13 win over Delta in non-region football play Friday. Stevens ran for another score in the win for Millard. Bronx Hunt returned a fumble 55 yards for a score in defeat for the Rabbits.

SALINA, Utah-Hayden Gubler ran for three scores and caught a touchdown pass as the Kanab Cowboys pounded North Sevier 36-0 Friday in non-region football play. Lattimer Glover ran 15 yards for another score in victory for Kanab.

RANDOLPH, Utah-Jett Holmes ran for two scores and the Rich Rebels clipped Milford 25-18 in 8-player football play Friday. Kyzler Merryweather ran for a pair of scores and returned a kickoff 82 yards for another touchdown in defeat for the Tigers.

1A South

PRICE, Utah-AJ Jimenez and Dominick Vigil drove in two runs apiece and the Pinnacle Panthers bested Valley 5-3 in 1A South baseball play Friday. Brody Howell’s six strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win on the mound for Pinnacle. Holden Harris and Jake Figgins drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Buffalos.

GREEN RIVER, Utah-Cristian Mendoza drove in two runs and the Green River Pirates edged Wayne 3-2 Friday in 1A South baseball play Friday. Rolando Anguiano’s three strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Pirates. Hunter Robins homered in defeat for the Badgers.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Traiger Ramsay and Hudson Burningham drove in two runs apiece and the Panguitch Bobcats edged Bryce Valley 7-6 Friday in 1A South baseball play. Quade Veater posted a strikeout in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bobcats. Clay Grey drove in four runs in the loss for the Mustangs.

Non-Region

ALTAMONT, Utah-Briggs Wall and Harrison Lounsbury drove in two runs apiece and the Altamont Longhorns waxed Piute 11-4 in non-region baseball play Friday. Levi Scott posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Longhorns. Braige Millett and Bodie Gayler drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

FILLMORE, Utah-Ellie Christensen scored and the Millard Eagles blanked Emery 1-0 Friday in non-reigon girls soccer play. Maci Wade recorded the shutout in the net for the Eagles.
