TROPIC, Utah-Ricardo Navarro and Antonio Moreno homered and the Bryce Valley Mustangs downed Valley 10-4 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Luke Andrus posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Mustangs. Weston Baird and Waylon Spencer drove in a run apiece in defeat for the Buffalos.
JUNCTION, Utah-Blake Dalton drove in four runs and the Piute Thunderbirds routed Wayne 15-4 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Braige Millett, Trey Pearson and Kyler Bunker drove in two more runs apiece for the Thunderbirds in victory. Dalton posted four strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Piute. Miles Hinkle drove in two runs in defeat for the Badgers.

ROOSEVELT, Utah-London Garner and Haley Foote each scored and the Union Cougars doubled up Delta 2-1 in non-region girls soccer play Wednesday. Joslyn Christiansen scored in the loss for the Rabbits.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams won the Region 18 golf tournament at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course in St. George Wednesday with a team score of 304. The Rams finished 14 strokes ahead of second place Beaver at 318. Kanab finished third with a 339, followed by Millard at 346, Enterprise at 347 and Parowan rounded out the field with a 348.
Individually, South Sevier’s Keegan Johnson placed first with a 74, he was followed by his teammate Gunner Sorensen’s 75. Kyle Cummings of Millard and McKay Pace of Parowan tied for third by each shooting a 76 and Beaver’s Tavin Young, Millard’s Derk Memmott and Parowan’s Tyler Massey tied for fifth with a 77.
