Bracket 2 Play

WEST JORDAN, Utah-Peyton Marx drove in four runs and the No. 7 Union Cougars overpowered No. 6 Manti 9-1 in Cate Field Thursday in 3A Bracket 2 play. Marx netted two strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars. As the Bracket 2 champions, Union will face  Canyon View for a 3A state championship. Tazj Hill drove in a run in defeat for the Templars.

Bracket 1 Play

WEST JORDAN, Utah-Brady Anderson, Zach Maine, Chandler McClellan and Jarron Bradshaw drove in two runs apiece and the No. 4 Canyon View Falcons overpowered No. 5 Morgan 10-3 in 3A Bracket 1 play Thursday to advance to the 3A state championship series. Camron Talbot, Brigham Spens and Ben Harden each drove in a run for the Trojans in the loss.

2A State @ UVU

Winners Bracket

OREM, Utah-Walker Baird drove in a run in the bottom of the 7th Inning and the No. 1 Kanab Cowboys outlasted No. 4 Beaver 1-0 in the winners bracket Thursday at UCCU Ballpark. Griffen Bone netted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys. Kanab next plays No. 7 Duchesne in the state semifinals Friday at 4:30 pm at UCCU Ballpark. Beaver faces No. 6 South Sevier in the one-loss bracket Friday at 11:00 am at UCCU Ballpark.

OREM, Utah-Jeshaun Johnson drove in two runs and the No. 7 Duchesne Eagles downed No. 3 Grand 4-2 Thursday at UCCU Ballpark in winners bracket play. Connor Karren posted a strikeout in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Eagles. Brayden Althoff and Caden Swasey drove in a run apiece in defeat for the Red Devils.

Saige Hancock and Alina Sluder drove in a run apiece in defeat for the Falcons. Emery advances to the quarterfinals Friday at 10:00 am at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex against No. 5 Morgan. SPANISH FORK, Utah-The No. 1 Enterprise Wolves dismantled No. 8 Grand 7-1 at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex Thursday in 2A championship play. Enterprise next plays No. 4 Altamont Friday at 10:00 am in the state quarterfinals.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kiley Crapo drove in a run and the No. 4 Altamont Longhorns edged No. 5 Parowan 1-0 Thursday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex in 2A championship play. Crapo earned the win in the circle for the Longhorns, recording seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Parowan next plays No. 11 Kanab in the one-loss bracket Thursday at 4:45 pm.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Talia Alisa homered and the No. 6 Beaver Beavers used a late 7th Inning rally to outlast No. 3 South Sevier 13-12 at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex in 2A championship play Thursday. Danzee Bradshaw drove in four runs and Lyndsie Pender and Jerzee Beaumont drove in two runs apiece in victory for the Beavers. Lily Wright added another RBI in the win for Beaver. Aspyn Evans earned the win in the circle for Beaver, recording two strikeouts in three innings of work. Kloe Donohue homered twice in the loss for the Rams. Kinsey Parsons and Aly Moore drove in two runs apiece in defeat for South Sevier, while Kinley Phelps, Ashton Miller and Chloe Thornock added an RBI each in the loss. SPANISH FORK, Utah-Tessa Woolsey drove in four runs and the No. 3 South Sevier Rams dismantled No. 12 Millard 21-11 at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex Thursday in the 2A one-loss bracket. Halle Mckinlay and Aly Moore drove in three runs apiece in victory for South Sevier. Kloe Donohue and Chloe Thornock drove in two runs each for the Rams and Caitlin Nielson, Kinsey Parsons, Kayla Johns, Lexi Monroe and Landree Larsen added an additional RBI apiece in the win for the Rams. Kaitlyn Lynch posted two strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for South Sevier. David Petersen and Branson Cherry combined on the shutout in the net for Manti. The Templars next play for the 3A state championship Saturday at 3:00 pm at America First Field against No. 3 Ogden.

HERRIMAN, Utah-The No. 3 Ogden Tigers upset No. 2 Morgan 1-0 in the 3A boys soccer semifinals Thursday at Zions Bank Stadium.

2A Semifinals @ Zions Bank Stadium

HERRIMAN, Utah-Kelton Ferriter and Nate Kanter each scored and the No. 5 Rowland Hall Winged Lions upset No. 1 St. Joseph 2-1 Thursday in the 2A state boys soccer semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium. Daniel Fontes scored in the loss for the Jayhawks. The Winged Lions next play for the 2A state championship Saturday at 12:00 pm at America First Field against No. 2 American Heritage.
