3A Super Regionals
GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Stratton Orgill homered and the No. 1 Grantsville Cowboys routed No. 16 South Summit 9-3 Friday to win the 3A Super Regionals series. Brett Darrow posted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys. Grantsville next faces No. 8 Emery Monday at 4:30 pm at Kearns High School in 3A bracket play.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Hayden Abrams drove in five runs and the No. 8 Emery Spartans completed a 3A Super Regionals sweep of No. 9 ALA with a 19-1 rout Friday. Turner Stoker recorded three strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Spartans.
MORGAN, Utah-Beck Sheffield drove in two runs and the No. 5 Morgan Trojans doubled up No. 12 Summit Academy 6-3 Friday to win the 3A Super Regionals series against the Bears. Ryder Waldron posted five strikeouts in 7 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Trojans. Joe Rodrigue homered in the loss for the Bears. Morgan next faces No. 4 Canyon View Monday at 7:00 pm in 3A bracket play at Kearns High School.
MORGAN, Utah-Brigham Spens and George Jensen drove in three runs apiece and the No. 5 Morgan Trojans routed No. 12 Summit Academy 12-1 Friday to force a Game 3 in the 3A Super Regionals. Camron Talbot recorded a strikeout in 4.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Morgan.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Bubba Ludlow belted a grand slam and the No. 4 Canyon View Falcons pummeled No. 13 Richfield 13-0 to sweep the 3A Super Regionals Friday. Jaxon Jensen posted six strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons.
NEPHI, Utah-Austin Park belted a grand slam and the No. 2 Juab Wasps routed No. 15 Delta 11-1 Friday to sweep the 3A Super Regionals. Kai Hansen drove in two more runs in victory for Juab and Kanyon Mattinson and Jimmy Larson added another RBI apiece for the Wasps. Park netted nine strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Juab. Ty Stefanoff drove in a run in the loss for the Rabbits. Juab next faces No. 7 Union Monday at 11:00 am in 3A bracket play at Kearns High School.
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Peyton Marx drove in four runs and the No. 7 Union Cougars routed No. 10 Ogden 15-4 Friday to sweep the 3A Super Regionals. Ryan Oakey recorded three strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars. Diego DeLeon, Carter Rasmussen, Joel Gomez and Easton Green each drove in a run in defeat for the Tigers.
MANTI, Utah-Kayson Bailey drove in four runs and the No. 6 Manti Templars routed No. 11 Providence Hall 10-0 to sweep the 3A Super Regionals Friday. Cody Aagard drove in two more runs and Chase Keisel and Tazj Hill added an additional RBI apiece in victory for the Templars. Britton Keisel netted eight strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Manti. The Templars next face No. 14 North Sanpete Monday at 1:30 pm in 3A bracket play at Kearns High School.
PRICE, Utah-Preston Madsen drove in three runs and Andy Allred and Andy Bailey drove in a run apiece and the No. 14 North Sanpete Hawks upset No. 3 Carbon 5-3 Friday in Game 3 of the Super Regionals. Peyton Rostron posted four strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Hawks. Logan Madrigal and Michael Vigil each drove in a run in defeat for the Dinos.
