OREM, Utah-Jake Thomas drove in a run and the No. 1 Canyon View Falcons blanked No. 12 Emery 2-0 Wednesday in Bracket 1 play at UCCU Ballpark. Chandler McClellan netted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Canyon View next faces No. 2 Juab Friday at 7:00 pm in the 3A state Finals at UCCU Ballpark.

One-Loss Bracket

OREM, Utah-Trygg Jensen drove in three runs and the No. 12 Emery Spartans downed No. 4 Morgan 7-5 in Bracket 1 one-loss bracket play Wednesday at UCCU Ballpark. Zander Robinson netted two strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Spartans. Kanyon Leonelli, Cooper Stuart and Easton Venz drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Trojans.

Bracket 2

OREM, Utah-Austin Park homered and the No. 2 Juab Wasps bested No. 7 Grantsville 5-3 Wednesday in Bracket 2 play at the 3A state tournament at UCCU Ballpark. Corbin Buchanan posted three strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Guhner Kimber drove in two runs in the loss for the Cowboys. Juab next plays No. 1 Canyon View in the 3A state finals Friday at 7:00 pm at UCCU Ballpark.

One-Loss Bracket

OREM, Utah-Krue Warren and Guhner Kimber drove in three runs apiece and the No. 7 Grantsville Cowboys overpowered No. 11 Richfield 16-10 Wednesday in one-loss Bracket 2 play at the UCCU Ballpark in the 3A state tournament. Jordan Fawson pitched five innings for Grantsville to earn the win on the mound. Jess Curtis drove in three runs in the loss for the Wildcats. Grantsville advanced to play No. 2 Juab later Wednesday.
