3A State Championship Series @ SLCC
Game 2
WEST JORDAN, Utah-Camden Frandsen homered and the No. 7 Union Cougars overpowered No. 4 Canyon View 9-3 in Game 2 of the 3A State Championship Series at Cate Field. Dylan Watahomigie earned the win on the mound for the Cougars, netting one strikeout in four innings of work. Union won the championship series 2-0 and therefore captured the 3A state championship. This is the Cougars’ third all-time state championship in baseball (1988, 1989, 2024). Bubba Ludlow, Jeter Sanders and Jarron Bradshaw drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Falcons.
2A State Championship @ UVU
Championship Game
OREM, Utah-Kale Glover recorded the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 7th and the No. 1 Kanab Cowboys edged No. 6 South Sevier 13-12 in the 2A state championship game Saturday at UCCU Ballpark. Maddix Baird drove in four runs in victory for the Cowboys and Brogun Virostko and Lane Sims drove in two runs apiece for Kanab. Griffen Bone, Walker Baird, Brady Ramsay and Jaxon Riddle added another RBI each in the win for the Cowboys. Ramsay netted a strikeout in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Kanab. Ryker Freeman homered in the loss for the Rams. Jagger Redd drove in three runs for South Sevier and Kanyon Okerlund and Brace Brindley added two more RBI apiece in the loss for the Rams. Kameron Hessey drove in another run in defeat for South Sevier. Kanab has won consecutive state titles in baseball and has achieved five overall state baseball titles. The Cowboys have won state championships in 1978, 1979, 2009, 2023 and 2024.
One-Loss Bracket
OREM, Utah-Kameron Hessey drove in four runs and the No. 6 South Sevier Rams pounded No. 7 Duchesne 16-5 Saturday in the one-loss bracket at UCCU Ballpark. Ryker Freeman and Jagger Redd drove in an additional three runs apiece in victory for South Sevier. Cannon Barney drove in two more runs for the Rams and Kanyon Okerlund and Payson Mitchell added another RBI each for South Sevier in the win. Caleb Thompson drove in two more runs in the loss for the Eagles. South Sevier next faces No. 1 Kanab in the championship round Saturday at 12:30 pm.
Softball
3A State Championship @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kira Hart and Payten Bytheway drove in three runs apiece and the No. 6 Grantsville Lady Cowboys overpowered No. 1 Emery 11-8 Saturday to secure the 3A state softball championship at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Bytheway netted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Lady Cowboys. Katelyn Nielson homered in the loss for the Spartans. Grantsville has secured seven state championships in softball following Saturday’s results. The Lady Cowboys have won state titles in 1998, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024.
One-Loss Bracket
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Tailynn Minchey, Kali Jensen and Katelyn Nielson each drove in a run and the No. 1 Emery Spartans outlasted No. 2 North Sanpete 4-3 Saturday in the 3A one-loss bracket at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Kallee Lake posted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Spartans. Madyson Steadman drove in a pair of runs in the loss for the Hawks. Emery next plays No. 6 Grantsville for the 3A state championship Saturday at 12:30 pm.
2A State Championship @ Spanish Fork Softball Complex
Championship Game
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kynlee Reber and Macee Staheli drove in two runs apiece and the No. 1 Enterprise Wolves overpowered No. 6 Beaver 8-3 Saturday to win the 2A state championship Saturday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Blakelee Christiansen posted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Enterprise. Jerzee Beaumont, Talia Alisa and Lexy Atkin drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Beavers. The Wolves have won four softball titles in the past six seasons in securing their fourth all-time state title in the sport. Enterprise has state softball titles in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024.
One-Loss Bracket
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Lily Wright and Lyndsie Pender each drove in a run and the No. 6 Beaver Beavers outlasted No. 3 South Sevier 3-2 in the 3A one-loss bracket Saturday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Brindee Carter earned the win in the circle for the Beavers, posting three strikeouts in seven innings of work. Caitlin Nielson homered in the loss for the Rams. Beaver next plays No. 1 Enterprise Saturday at 12:30 pm for the 2A state championship.
Boys Soccer
3A State Championship Match @ America First Field
SANDY, Utah-Taylor Pierce, Jace Rodriguez, Adam Jenks and Ben Points each scored and the No. 3 Ogden Tigers blanked No. 1 Manti 4-0 to win the 3A state boys soccer championship Saturday at American First Field. The Tigers have now won four state championships in boys soccer. Ogden has won state titles in the sport in 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2024.
2A State Championship Match @ America First Field
SANDY, Utah-The No. 5 Rowland Hall Winged Lions outlasted No. 2 American Heritage 9-8 on penalty kicks to win the 2A state championship Saturday at America First Field. The Winged Lions have won four state championships in boys soccer in school history: 2008, 2009, 2022 and 2024.
Boys Volleyball
3A State Championship Match @ UVU
OREM, Utah-The No. 1 Grantsville Cowboys blanked No. 2 North Sanpete 3-0 Saturday at Utah Valley University to win the 3A state boys volleyball championship. The Cowboys downed the Hawks 25-22, 25-21, 25-22 to win in straight sets. Grantsville goes down in history as the first all-time state champion in Utah high school sports in boys volleyball.
