MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Tyson Marx drove in three runs and the Union Cougars bested North Sanpete 10-7 Friday in Region 13 baseball play. Gannon Labrum netted a strikeout in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars. Hudson Smith homered twice in the loss for the Hawks.

Region 14

RICHFIELD, Utah-Clay Nielson and Kyler Davies drove in two runs apiece and the Delta Rabbits doubled up Richfield 8-4 Friday in the first game of a Region 14 baseball doubleheader. Davies recorded eight strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rabbits. Kelby Rickenbach drove in a run in the loss for the Wildcats.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Ethan Butler homered and the Richfield Wildcats secured a Region 14 baseball doubleheader split against Delta with a 7-5 win over the Rabbits Friday. Kelby Rickenbach netted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wildcats. Bodey Shurtz belted a grand slam in defeat for Delta.

NEPHI, Utah-Kaeden Christensen and Maddix Park drove in two runs apiece and the Juab Wasps humbled Canyon View 4-2 in the first game of a Region 14 baseball doubleheader Friday. Luke Marostica netted two strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Cannon Williams and Zach Maine drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Falcons.

NEPHI, Utah-Noah Sandoval drove in a pair of runs and the Canyon View Falcons stonewalled Juab 5-1 Friday to complete a Region 14 baseball doubleheader sweep of the Wasps. Jaxon Black netted a strikeout in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons.

Region 13

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Afton Cook, Kaecee Johnson, Rylee Stewart and Halie Eliason each homered and the North Sanpete Hawks routed Carbon 13-0 Friday in Region 13 softball play. Johnson netted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Hawks.

3A Quarterfinals 

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Quinn Pingree and Jase Pingree each scored and the No. 5 Logan Grizzlies upset No. 2 Canyon View 4-0 in the 3A state quarterfinals Friday. Eli Steele recorded the shutout in the net for Logan in victory. Logan next faces No. 1 Ogden Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium.

OGDEN, Utah-Jace Rodriguez netted a hat trick and the No. 1 Ogden Tigers drilled No. 9 Manti 7-0 Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals. Xavier Peregrina recorded the shutout in the net for the Tigers.

MORGAN, Utah-Daxton Noss and Trace Henderson drove in two goals apiece and the No. 3 Morgan Trojans clobbered No. 11 Juab 8-0 in the 3A state quartefinals Friday. Will Staats earned the shutout in the net for the Trojans. Morgan next faces No. 7 Ben Lomond Tuesday at 3:45 pm in the state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium

PRICE, Utah-Adriel Vasquez and Robben Ferrufino each scored and the No. 7 Ben Lomond Scots doubled up No. 2 Carbon 2-1 Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals. Lincoln Atwood scored in the loss for the Dinos.

2A Quarterfinals

SANDY, Utah-Hunter Marshall and Xavi Faraji scored as the No. 2 Waterford Ravens blanked No. 7 South Summit 2-0 Friday in the 2A state quarterfinals. The Ravens next face No. 3 Rowland Hall Tuesday at 11:15 am in the state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium.

SALT LAKE CITY-Miles Li netted four goals and the No. 3 Rowland Hall Winged Lions surged past No. 6 St. Joseph 8-5 in the 2A state quarterfinals Friday. Alex Hernandez recorded a hat trick in the loss for the Jayhawks.

AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Alex Bay netted a hat trick and the No. 4 American Heritage Patriots steamrolled No. 5 Millard 6-1 Friday in the 2A state quarterfinals. The Patriots next face No. 1 Maeser Prep Tuesday at 9:00 am in the state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium.

LINDON, Utah-Denzel Sono-Koree scored twice and the No. 1 Maeser Prep Lions pummeled No. 8 Gunnison Valley 7-1 in the 2A state quarterfinals Friday.
