RICHFIELD, Utah-Mike Vigil homered and the Carbon Dinos overpowered Richfield 17-10 in eight innings Friday in Region 12 baseball play. Paxton Falk posted four strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Dinos. Fisher Jenson and Kelby Rickenbach homered in the loss for the Wildcats. Jess Curtis drove in two more runs in the loss for Richfield and Bridger Vincent and Hayden Hansen added another RBI apiece for the Wildcats in defeat.
2A West
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Parker Staheli homered and the Enterprise Wolves blanked Milford 8-0 Friday in 2A West baseball play. Staheli posted nine strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Tigers.
KANAB, Utah-Kanon Virostko drove in a pair of runs and the Kanab Cowboys routed Parowan 10-3 in 2A West baseball play Friday. Latimer Glover and Cooper Anderson added an additional RBI apiece in victory for Kanab. Tyrel Vest drove in a run in defeat for the Rams.
MONROE, Utah-Ryker Freeman belted a grand slam and the South Sevier Rams hammered Beaver 10-0 Friday in 2A West baseball play. Jagger Redd and Kameron Hessey drove in two additional runs apiece and Brace Brindley added an RBI in the win for the Rams. Freeman posted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for South Sevier.
2A East
MOAB, Utah-Trace York drove in two runs and the Grand Red Devils edged North Sevier 4-3 in 2A East baseball play Friday. Edgar Paralta posted four strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Grand. Koy Wasden drove in two runs in the loss for the Wolves.
Softball
Region 12
MANTI, Utah-Hallee Barnes homered and the Manti Templars pounded Delta 14-0 Friday in Region 12 softball play. Danie Alder and Carlie Rasmussen drove in two additional runs apiece in victory for Manti. Chloe Olson and Dakoda Cheney added an additional RBI each in the rout for the Templars.
2A Central
SALINA, Utah-Miley Harrison and Elizabeth Palmer drove in three runs apiece and the San Juan Broncos waxed North Sevier 15-4 Friday in the first game of a 2A Central softball doubleheader. Khatira Keith posted six strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Broncos. Addie Quarnberg and Dalli Wasden homered in the loss for the Wolves.
SALINA, Utah-Averie Gilson, Khatira Keith and Miley Harrison homered and the San Juan Broncos pounded North Sevier 22-2 to complete a 2A Central softball doubleheader sweep of the Wolves Friday. Keith posted three strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for San Juan. Kadee Bosshardt drove in a run in defeat for North Sevier.
2A South
KANAB, Utah-Marisa Jensen drove in four runs and the Kanab Lady Cowboys lassoed Parowan 19-9 Friday in 2A South softball play. Taylor Janes drove in three more runs in victory for Kanab and Gracie Jensen and Railey Lofing drove in two runs apiece in the win for the Lady Cowboys. Tessa Veater, Savannah Hulet and Heidi Marshall drove in an additional run each in victory for Kanab. JayCee Lathim posted seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Lady Cowboys. Erika Kelly drove in two runs in defeat for the Rams.
Non-Region
ALTAMONT, Utah-Reaygan Miles drove in four runs and the Altamont Longhorns blanked Piute 17-0 Friday in the first game of a non-region softball doubleheader. Kiley Crapo posted seven strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Longhorns.
ALTAMONT, Utah-Lacie Long drove in five runs and the Altamont Longhorns completed a non-region softball doubleheader sweep of Piute with a 19-0 win Friday. Kiley Crapo recorded six strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Altamont.
