PAYSON, Utah-McClain Carter and Kyla Donegan drove in two runs apiece and the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles downed North Sanpete 10-0 Saturday at the Payson Ice Breaker at Payson High School. Donegan posted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles.

PAYSON, Utah-Taylin Platt drove in two runs and the Enterprise Wolves downed Manti 6-2 Saturday at the Payson Ice Breaker. Mylee Platt posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Enterprise. Dakoda Cheney drove in a run in defeat for the Templars.

PAYSON, Utah-Atley Coates homered and the Gunnison Bulldogs downed Class 6A American Fork 9-6 Saturday at the Payson Ice Breaker. Mazie Hunt posted five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. Lacie Fleming drove in two runs in the loss for the Cavemen.

PAYSON, Utah-Kloe Donohue and Kinley Phelps homered and the South Sevier Rams got past Class 5A Maple Mountain 9-6 at the Payson Ice Breaker Saturday. Donohue netted seven strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Rams. Gracie Jensen and McClain Carter homered in defeat for the Golden Eagles.

North Sanpete Varsity Tournament

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Carson Bench posted 16 kills and the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted American Heritage 3-2 Saturday at the North Sanpete Varsity Tournament. Sean Allred’s 39 assists also contributed to the Hawks’ victory. The Hawks got past the Patriots 22-25, 25-23, 12-25, 33-31, 16-14
