Desert Hills Classic @ Desert Hills High School

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Connor Cowan and Kanyon Mattinson drove in two runs apiece and the Juab Wasps edged Union 8-7 Saturday at the Desert Hills Classic in a rematch of last May’s 3A state championship series. Austin Park, Kai Hansen and Maddix Stowell drove in an additional run apiece in victory for the Wasps. Corbin Buchanan posted two strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Juab. Bo Earl, Gavin Roberts and Dylan Watahomigie drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Cougars.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Austin Park and Kai Hansen drove in a pair of runs apiece and the Juab Wasps overpowered Class 5A Spanish Fork 7-3 at the Desert Hills Classic Saturday. Connor Cowan drove in another run in victory for the Wasps. Cowan’s four strikeouts in seven innings of work earned him the win on the mound for Juab. Kayden Lambson and Nixon Warren drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Dons.

Red, White and Blue Tournament @ Crimson Cliffs High School

WASHINGTON CITY, Utah-Jackson Wittwer homered and the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs edged Kanab 10-9 Saturday at the Red, White and Blue Tournament. Cutter Christensen posted four strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Mustangs. Cooper Anderson drove in two runs in the loss for the Cowboys. Latimer Glover, Kanon Virostko, Zachary Warino, Brady Ramsay and Grady Anderson drove in a run apiece in the loss for Kanab.

WASHINGTON CITY, Utah-Latimer Glover and Kale Glover each drove in a run and the Kanab Cowboys waxed Clearfield 5-3 at the Red, White and Blue Tournament Saturday. Brady Ramsay posted two strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys. Logan Fenn, Brody Mower and Drew Bremer drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Falcons.
