Karleen Roundy had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Mustangs. Wayne next plays in the quarterfinals Thursday at 5:30 pm at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brittney Henrie, Kapri Orton and Karlee Eyre symmetrically each posted 14 points and 5 rebounds as the Panguitch Bobcats routed Green River 59-35 Wednesday in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Maribel Escalante had a game-high 19 points in the loss for the Pirates. Panguitch next faces Wendover Thursday in the state quarterfinals at 4:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Jordyn Kennedy posted 15 points and 6 rebounds as the Piute Thunderbirds downed Monticello 43-36 Wednesday at the Sevier Valley Center in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament. Tymbr Black posted 14 points in the loss for the Buckaroos. The Thunderbirds next face Milford Thursday at 10:00 am in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.

Ashlynn Spencer had 14 points and 10 rebounds and McKenna Roundy added 14 more points in the loss for the Buffaloes. The Cougars next play in the state quarterfinals Thursday at 11:30 am.

Lakota Benally’s 18 points led the Cougars in the loss. Bryce Valley next draws Wendover Thursday at 7:00 pm in the quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Acey Orton’s 24 points led the way and the Panguitch Bobcats decimated Pinnacle 71-27 in the first round of the 1-A state tournament at Richfield High School Wednesday. Kaden Daughters had 7 points in the loss for the Panthers. Panguitch next draws Tintic in the state quarterfinals Thursday at 2:30 pm at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Orrin Wood stepped up with 14 points and the Valley Buffaloes downed Wayne 50-37 Wednesday in the first round of the 1-A state tournament at Richfield High School. Colby Taylor and Garrett Chappell had 11 points apiece in the loss for the Badgers. The Buffaloes next face Region 20 foe Piute Thursday at 1:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center in the state quarterfinals. Wayne faces Rich Thursday at 1:00 pm at Richfield High School in the consolation bracket.
