Kade Johnson’s 15 points led the Wolves in the loss. ALA next faces No. 1 Kanab Friday at 7:30 pm in the state semifinals at the SVC.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Cash Mortensen posted 23 points on 9-16 from the field and the No. 1 Kanab Cowboys lassoed No. 9 APA West Valley 58-44 at the Sevier Valley Center Thursday in the 2A state quarterfinals. Sharmarkaay Mbwera led the Eagles in the loss with 14 points.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Stockton Roberts recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds on 8-13 from the field and 2-2 behind the arc as the No. 2 South Sevier Rams pounded No. 7 Draper APA 70-47 in the 2A state quarterfinals Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center. The proficient Rams shot 53 percent for the game. Anthony Burris led the Eagles in the loss with 14 points. South Sevier next faces No. 3 North Summit Friday at 9:10 pm in the state semifinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Trevor Richins netted 28 points and the No. 3 North Summit Braves overpowered No. 6 Enterprise 51-41 Thursday in the state semifinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Nolan Johnson’s 13 points on 3-6 from range led the Wolves in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Sydnee Patterson posted 18 points and 8 rebounds on 7-13 from the field and the No. 3 South Sevier Rams downed No. 6 Beaver 41-32 in the 2A state quarterfinals Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center. Ruby Lurth’s 9 points and 7 rebounds led the Beavers in the loss. South Sevier next faces No. 2 Kanab Friday at 5:50 pm in the state semifinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Beaver next faces No. 10 Grand Friday at 9:30 am in the consolation bracket.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Savannah Bateman netted 17 points and 9 rebounds on 6-8 from the field and 5-6 behind the arc as the No. 2 Kanab Lady Cowboys clobbered No. 10 Grand 61-21 at the Sevier Valley Center Thursday in the 2A state quarterfinals. Rylee Little added 14 points and 6 rebounds for Kanab in victory. Ainsleigh Kasprick led the Red Devils in the loss with 7 points.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Ellie Stephens led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds on 10-12 from the field and the No. 1 North Summit Braves routed No. 8 St. Joseph 61-25 Thursday in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Katelyn Martinez led the Jayhawks in the loss with 7 points. North Summit next faces No. 4 Draper APA in the state semifinals Friday at 4:10 pm at the SVC. The Jayhawks meet No. 5 Duchesne Friday at 11:10 am in the consolation bracket.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Samantha Kartchner posted 18 points and 16 rebounds as the No. 4 Draper APA Eagles outlasted the No. 5 Duchesne Eagles 38-35 Thursday in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Chezney Farnsworth’s 18 points led Duchesne in defeat.
