Boys Basketball
Region 12
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kaden Chidester netted 20 points and the Richfield Wildcats got past Grand 47-36 in Region 12 boys basketball action Wednesday. Lane Berry had 12 points for the Red Devils in the loss.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Landon Bowles posted 32 points and 12 rebounds on 12-23 from the field as the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Manti 65-62 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball play. The Hawks shot 51 percent (26-51) from the field for the game in improving to 14-3 and 4-1 in Region 14 play on the season.
Dylan Anderson had 18 points on 6-10 behind the arc in the loss for the Templars. Manti falls to 11-8 and 4-2 in Region 14 play with the loss.
North Sanpete hosts Union Friday and Manti visits Juab Friday as the Region 14 seasons ensue for the respective squads.
DELTA, Utah-Wes Nielsen led the way with 21 points and the Juab Wasps decimated Delta 85-48 in Region 14 boys basketball action Wednesday at the Palladium. Cai Henderson had 14 points in the loss for the Rabbits.
Region 16
SALINA, Utah-Myles Bartholomew netted 14 points and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs got past North Sevier 49-45 Wednesday in Region 16 boys basketball play. Ethan Fielding’s 14 points led the Wolves in the loss.
Region 19
MONROE, Utah-Emilio Miramontes posted 21 points and 9 rebounds as the South Sevier Rams pummeled Kanab 64-45 Wednesday in Region 19 boys basketball play. Kason Janes led the Cowboys in defeat with 19 points.
Girls Basketball
Region 20
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Tabbie Henrie led the way with 18 points and the Panguitch Bobcats bested Valley 45-39 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Braden Heaton had 17 points for the Buffaloes in the loss.
ESCALANTE, Utah-Aspen New and Emma Hallows had 10 points apiece and the Wayne Badgers humbled Escalante 50-39 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Kenzie Lyman had a game-high 14 points in defeat for the Moquis.
MILFORD, Utah-JaLeana Tsosie netted 13 points and the Milford Tigers got past Bryce Valley 40-27 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Amanda Chynoweth had 9 points for the Mustangs in defeat.
HILDALE, Utah-Despite trailing 13-2 at the end of the first quarter the Piute Thunderbrids flew away from Water Canyon for a 43-25 win in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday.
