Region 20 Tournament 1st Round

JUNCTION, Utah-Gavin Morgan led the way with 18 points and the No. 2 Piute Thunderbirds waxed No. 7 Milford 66-31 in the first round of the Region 20 tournament Thursday. Treyton Rose led the Tigers in defeat with 13 points. Piute next faces No. 3 Diamond Ranch Friday at 4:40 pm at Panguitch High School in the region quarterfinals. Milford next faces No. 3 Wayne Friday at 1:30 pm at Panguitch High School in the consolation bracket.

HURRICANE, Utah-The No. 3 Diamond Ranch Diamondbacks bested No. 6 Wayne 63-51 Thursday in the first roud of the Region 20 tournament. Garrett Robins led the Badgers in defeat with 16 points.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Klyn Fullmer stepped up with 16 points and 5 assists and the No. 1 Panguitch Bobcats decimated No. 8 Water Canyon 84-30 in the first round of the Region 20 tournament Thursday. Mahonri Barlow had 11 points for the Wildcats in the loss. The Bobcats next face No. 4 Bryce Valley Friday at 8:00 pm in the region quarterfinals at Panguitch High School. Water Canyon next faces No. 5 Valley Friday at 10:10 am in the consolation bracket at Panguitch High School.

TROPIC, Utah-Miles Roberts netted 26 points and the No. 4 Bryce Valley Mustangs dismantled No. 5 Valley 53-36 Thursday in the first round of the Region 20 tournament. Tate Bettridge led the Buffaloes in defeat with 11 points.
