3A State Playoffs Second Round
NEPHI, Utah-Austin Park netted 28 points on 10-20 from the field and the No. 5 Juab Wasps overpowered No. 12 Ogden 71-59 Saturday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Jackson Maw’s 19 points led the Tigers in the loss. Juab next faces No. 4 South Summit February 24 at 9:30 am in the state quarterfinals at the UCCU Center on the campus of Utah Valley University.
MORGAN, Utah-Bracken Saunders posted 15 points and the No. 1 Morgan Trojans routed No. 16 North Sanpete 72-33 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Saturday. Ridge Hendry’s game-high 21 points led the Hawks in the loss. Morgan next faces Emery February 24 at 11:10 am in the state quarterfinals at the UCCU Center.
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Wayke Olsen stepped up with 19 points and the No. 6 Union Cougars overpowered No. 11 Grantsville 58-48 Saturday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Bryson Roberts led the Cowboys in the loss with 16 points. Union next faces No. 3 Richfield February 24 at 2:30 pm at the UCCU Center in the state quarterfinals.
KAMAS, Utah-Logan Woolstenhulme amassed 33 points and the No. 4 South Summit Wildcats bested No. 13 Manti 64-55 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Saturday. Dax Anderson led the Templars in the loss with 18 points.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Jeter Sanders netted 26 points and the No. 2 Canyon View Falcons soared past No. 15 Ben Lomond 85-34 Saturday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Korver Van Beekum led the Scots in defeat with 11 points. Canyon View next faces No. 7 Judge Thursday at 12:50 pm in the state quarterfinals at the UCCU Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The No. 3 Richfield Wildcats smacked No. 14 Carbon 61-41 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Saturday.
SALT LAKE CITY-Longar Alor posted 17 points and the No. 7 Judge Bulldogs dismantled No. 10 Delta 54-38 Saturday in the second round of the 3A state playoffs. Brody Cleaver’s game-high 12 points led the Rabbits in defeat.
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Scott Johansen led the way with 28 points and the No. 9 Emery Spartans upset No. 8 American Heritage 77-74 in the second round of the 3A state playoffs Saturday. Mana Winitana’s game-high 38 points led the Patriots in the loss.
2A Boys Second Round
SALT LAKE CITY-Kade Johnson netted 17 points and the No. 12 North Sevier Wolves upset No. 5 Rowland Hall 45-40 Saturday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. Luc Dowdle led the Winged Lions with 13 points in the loss. North Sevier next faces No. 4 ALA Thursday at 9:30 am at the Sevier Valley Center in the state quarterfinals.
KANAB, Utah-Carson Visser and Kyle Brown had 19 points apiece and the No. 1 Kanab Cowboys smoked No. 16 Grand 72-55 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Saturday. Weston Jones led the Red Devils in the loss with 14 points. Kanab next draws No. 9 APA West Valley Thursday at 11:10 am in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
SPRINGVILLE, Utah-The N0. 9 APA West Valley Eagles soared past No. 8 Merit 73-56 Saturday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs.
MONROE, Utah-Jaggar Redd posted 14 points and No. 2 South Sevier bested No. 15 Parowan 66-57 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Saturday. Tate Stubbs’ game-high 34 points led Parowan in the battle of the Rams. South Sevier next draws No. 7 Draper APA Thursday at 12:50 pm at the Sevier Valley Center in the state quarterfinals.
DRAPER, Utah-Urban Baldwin recorded 28 points and the No. 7 Draper APA Eagles waxed No. 10 San Juan 77-67 Saturday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. Tripp Palmer’s 26 points led the Broncos in the loss.
COALVILLE, Utah-Buck Sargent posted 17 points and the No. 3 North Summit Braves clobbered No. 14 Beaver 71-30 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Saturday. Taiven Gillins’ 14 points led the Beavers in defeat. North Summit next faces No. 6 Enterprise Thursday at 2:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Treyson Whitman led the way with 19 points and the No. 6 Enterprise Wolves dismantled No. 11 Rockwell 66-53 Saturday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. Elias Sekona led the Marshals in defeat with 22 points.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Tad Swarnes netted 15 points and the No. 4 ALA Eagles downed No. 13 Waterford 74-46 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Saturday. Preston Jenkins’ game-high 24 points led the Ravens in defeat.
Region 20 Tournament @ Panguitch High School
Championship Game
PANGUITCH, Utah-Remme Chappell’s 20 points and 9 rebounds led the way and the No. 1 Panguitch Bobcats routed No. 3 Piute 58-39 to win the Region 20 Tournament championship Saturday at Panguitch High School. Will Myers led the Thunderbirds in defeat with 13 points.
3rd-4th Place Game
PANGUITCH, Utah-Kilo Tsosie posted 20 points and the No. 2 Milford Tigers placed 3rd at the Region 20 tournament with a 73-64 win over Valley Saturday at Panguitch High School. Boede Cox led the Buffalos in the loss with 23 points.
5th-6th Place Game
PANGUITCH, Utah-Blake Peterson’s 22 points and 9 rebounds led the way and the No. 4 Wayne Badgers bested No. 6 Bryce Valley 47-38 to place 5th in the Region 20 Tournament Saturday at Panguitch High School.

3rd-4th Place Game
PANGUITCH, Utah-The No. 4 Piute Thunderbirds downed No. 6 Bryce Valley 34-30 to place third at the Region 20 Tournament Saturday at Panguitch High School.
