Boys Basketball

Non-Region

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Tyrel Morley posted 18 points and 6 rebounds on 7-14 from the field as the North Sanpete Hawks pummeled Carbon 58-41 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday.

The Hawks were +12 (21-9) in the 4th Quarter and +20 (36-16) in the 2nd half in improvig to 6-0 on the season.

Jackson Griffeth’s 14 points led the Dinos in the loss as they fell to 3-4.

The Hawks are next in action Friday by hosting South Sevier.

The Dinos return to action December 15 by visiting the South Summit Wildcats at Kamas.

FILLMORE, Utah-Hunter Rhodes led the way with 16 points and 6 assists and the Millard Eagles downed Bryce Valley 52-46 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball action. Brock Syrett netted 16 points for the Mustangs in defeat.

NEPHI, Utah-Wesley Nielsen stepped up with 18 points and the Juab Wasps got past South Sevier 62-58 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Ridge Tebbs’ game-high 21 points led the Rams in defeat.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Zab Santana had 19 points and the Cedar City Reds got past Richfield 59-48 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. Connor Holroyd and Miles Barnett had 14 points apiece for the Wildcats in the loss.

Richfield High School athletic director, Richard Barton, a former Cedar City Redmen basketball star, was inducted into the Cedar High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

BEAVER, Utah-The North Sevier Wolves outlasted Beaver 53-50 in overtime Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. Conner Crum’s 18 points and 4 rebounds led the Beavers in the loss.

PAROWAN, Utah-Klyn Fullmer keyed a balanced scoring attack with 18 points and the Panguitch Bobcats smacked Parowan 66-51 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Brock Felder’s 17 points led the Rams in defeat.

GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Jace Sandberg scored 13 points leading four players in double figures as Grantsville steamrolled Delta 90-48 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday.

GUNNISON, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds topped Gunnison Valley 60-47 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball action.

Girls Basketball

Region 20

JUNCTION, Utah-Tera Morgan stepped up with 12 points and the Piute Thunderbirds waxed Valley 44-34 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Janilyn Hoyt had 8 points in defeat for the Buffaloes.

Non-Region

KANAB, Utah-Grayce Glover led the way with 15 points and the Kanab Lady Cowboys hammered Panguitch 47-32 in non-region girls basketball play Wednesday. Abbee Holman had 8 points for the Bobcats in defeat.
