Panther Winter Classic
PRICE, Utah-Trey Rose led the way with 14 points and the Milford Tigers clobbered Telos 64-17 at the Panther Winter Classic Thursday afternoon at Pinnacle High School.
Region 20
JUNCTION, Utah-Jaxon Westwood and Brooks Dalton had 19 points apiece and the Piute Thunderbirds gashed Wayne 65-55 Thursday in Region 20 boys basketball play. Ryker Peterson led the Badgers in defeat with 15 points.
Non-Region
TABIONA, Utah-Chance Lazenby recorded 16 points and the Tabiona Tigers routed the Escalante Moquis 60-38 Thursday in non-region boys basketball play. Kendal Gardner led the Moquis in the loss with 13 points.
MONROE, Utah-Emilio Miramontes led the way with 27 points and the South Sevier Rams routed Duchesne 83-65 in non-region boys basketball play Thursday. Jep Young’s 18 points led the Eagles in defeat.
Girls Basketball
Region 20
JUNCTION, Utah-Haylie Durfey netted 12 points and the Wayne Badgers humbled Piute 44-37 Thursday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Tera Morgan had 13 points to lead the Thunderbirds in the loss.
Non-Region
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Kali Jensen posted 15 points and the Emery Spartans hammered North Sanpete 58-42 in non-region girls basketball play Thursday. Tylee Henrie led the Hawks in defeat with 13 points.
MANTI, Utah-Heidi Jorgensen recorded 14 points and the Manti Templars downed ALA 50-40 Thursday in non-region girls basketball play. Tiffany Tervort’s game-high 27 points led the Eagles in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats hammered Union 63-21 Thursday in non-region girls basketball play. Kamryn Knutson’s 20 points led Richfield in the win. Stella Price, Candace Ovard, Lydia Hoschouer and Lexie Davenport had 4 points apiece for the Cougars in the loss.
